Last checked Oct. 9, 2026. This page is updated each year at the same address. We do not list prices or deals; check each store’s own website for its hours.

Black Friday is Nov. 27, 2026, and Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. Panama City shops in three places: the locally owned stores of historic downtown and historic St. Andrews, and the national chains on the 15th and 23rd Street retail corridors. Big stores usually post Black Friday hours in early November; none had published 2026 hours on their own websites when we checked, and we will add them as they do.

Where to shop

Historic downtown. The district around Harrison Avenue is walkable, with boutiques, galleries, antiques, a bookstore and coffee shops. Destination Panama City lists the shops on its downtown places page. Our guide: historic downtown Panama City.

Historic St. Andrews. West along Beach Drive, Beck Avenue and Bayview Avenue have boutiques, gift shops and Little Village, 2808 W. 12th St., a cluster of small shops and a bar under a palapa. Destination Panama City’s St. Andrews places page lists them.

The retail corridors. According to Destination Panama City, 23rd Street has Publix, Walmart, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Ulta, Burlington and other stores and restaurants, and 15th Street adds more dining and shopping, including locally owned consignment and specialty shops.

Pier Park, the open-air center in Panama City Beach, posts its holiday hours on its own website.

Small Business Saturday: Nov. 28

The Saturday after Thanksgiving is the national day for shopping at locally owned stores. Destination Panama City’s Small Business Saturday guide sends shoppers to the three districts above. Downtown and St. Andrews shops have run sidewalk sales, extended hours and free gift wrapping in past years; each shop announces its own plans, usually on its social media pages in the week before.

Both Saturday markets are open that morning:

  • Panama City Farmers’ Market, Harrison Avenue, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. From Oct. 1 to Dec. 31 it sets up between Fourth and Sixth streets.
  • The Market at St. Andrews, Oaks by the Bay Park, 2715 W. 10th St., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

More on both: farmers markets in Panama City.

Holiday markets in December

  • Destination Panama City’s holiday guide says the Saturday markets turn into holiday markets in December, with crafts and handmade gifts, and that shops and community groups hold pop-up markets through the month.
  • Holiday Village, Saturday, Dec. 12, 4 to 7 p.m., Panama City Marina, 1 Harrison Ave.: holiday vendors, music and Santa before the Boat Parade of Lights.
