Labor Day 2027 is Monday, Sept. 6. It is the last long weekend of summer. Garbage trucks run, yard trash does not, Bayway buses stay off the road and the city’s MLK Jr. Recreation Center closes. No public Labor Day event in Panama City had been posted for 2027 when we checked; we will add events as organizers announce them.

The long weekend
Destination Panama City’s Labor Day weekend page pitches “one more weekend” of summer on St. Andrew Bay: snorkeling, boat and jet ski rentals, dolphin tours, paddling, fishing charters, waterfront dining and the oyster trail, plus the mural trail and shops in the historic districts.
- Saturday, Sept. 4: the Panama City Farmers’ Market on Harrison Avenue (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and the Market at St. Andrews at Oaks by the Bay Park (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). See farmers markets.
- On the water: public boat ramps and bayfront parks are on parks and trails; kayak and paddleboard launches on Destination Panama City’s paddle page.
- Brunch and dinner: brunch in Panama City and date night.
- Music: live music and nightlife.
Free concerts in September
Bay County’s free Concerts in the Park series ended its 2026 run on Sept. 18 at the M.B. Miller County Pier in Panama City Beach, from 6 to 9 p.m., with food trucks. The 2027 schedule is not out yet; the county parks office is at 850-248-8730.
