Valentine's Day in Panama City 2027: concerts and date ideas

Valentine’s Day 2027 is Sunday, Feb. 14. In Panama City it falls in the middle of Mardi Gras season and a long weekend: Presidents Day is Monday, Feb. 15, and Bay District Schools are closed. The biggest planned Valentine’s event so far is the Panama City Symphony’s Tchaikovsky concert on Saturday, Feb. 13. Restaurants usually post Valentine’s dinners in January; we will add them here as they do.

Concerts and a gala

• With Love, Tchaikovsky: Symphonic Valentines: Saturday, Feb. 13, 2027, 7 p.m., Helen Blackburn Auditorium, Arnold High School, Panama City Beach. The full Panama City Symphony plays Tchaikovsky’s best-known romantic works. The concert is included in season subscriptions. Details.
• Bella Notte ‘27: Midnight in Manhattan: Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2027, 6 p.m., FSU Panama City Holley Center, 4750 Collegiate Drive. The symphony’s formal fundraising gala, themed on a New York supper club of the crooner era. It is not part of season subscriptions. Details.

Mardi Gras in St. Andrews

Fat Tuesday is Feb. 9, 2027. The Krewe of St. Andrews Mardi Gras, Panama City’s largest, is a free two-day parade and festival in historic St. Andrews. The 2027 dates were not posted when we checked. In 2026 it ran:

• Friday, Feb. 6, 4 to 10 p.m.: festival, with the pet parade and kids parade at 4:30 p.m. and the mask parade at 6 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 7, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.: festival, with the main parade at 2 p.m. (west on 11th Street and north on Beck Avenue) and a free drone show at 6 p.m.

Organizers count more than 14 krewes and 30 floats and a crowd of more than 50,000.

Date ideas

Only what venues publish, linked to their own pages:

• Dinner on the water. Several restaurants in downtown and St. Andrews sit on the bay or a marina; our date night guide and brunch guide list them with addresses.
• Live music. Venues in St. Andrews and downtown book bands most weekends; see live music and nightlife.
• A class for two. The Panama City Center for the Arts, 19 E. Fourth St., runs painting, drawing, crochet and stained glass classes and is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and until 7 p.m. Fridays, according to its website.
• Sunset by the bay. Oaks by the Bay Park in St. Andrews and the downtown marina face west over St. Andrew Bay. See free things to do.
