Ten ice cream, frozen yogurt, Italian ice, paleta, cookie and doughnut shops inside Panama City limits, from Harrison Avenue to 23rd Street and SweetBay.
Last checked Oct. 10, 2026. Refreshed every three months.
Panama City’s dessert shops are in three places: downtown on Harrison Avenue, along 23rd Street and Hawkins Avenue, and in the SweetBay plaza on Highway 390. Two Mexican paleterias, on Jenks Avenue and West U.S. 98, sell ice pops and ice cream.
How we made this list. We started with OpenStreetMap records inside Panama City’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, and added shops from the state’s food service license and inspection records for Panama City, checking each address against the city boundary. We checked every place against its own website on Oct. 10, 2026. Seven places have no website or store page we could find; the state’s records show each with an active food service license and an inspection in the past year, and we say so in their entries. Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ are left out because their store pages would not load for us. A hurricane warning was in effect for Panama City when we checked; call before you go. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to add or correct your entry.
